Clovis, New Mexico
ITAC has just completed a preliminary engineering package on a 75 million gallon per year biodiesel facility proposed for Clovis, New Mexico. This package included mass and energy balances; scale-up of reaction, purification, and distillation processes; Process Flow Diagrams; Process and Instrumentation Diagrams; Equipment Arrangement drawings; and quotations on all major equipment for the facility. The facility is proposed to operate on beef tallow and vegetable oil feedstock. This design emphasizes high conversion efficiency of the raw materials into biodiesel, recovery and reuse of excess reaction components, recovery and reuse of process water, and minimization of plant emissions.
